Premio Eccellenza Italiana racconta l’Italia del Merito e del Talento, le Storie di Resilienza, di Sostenibilità ma pure di Coraggio, di Visione che gli Italians, in primis imprenditori e professionisti, sono in grado di realizzare.
Gli Italians sono gli Italiani nel nostro Paese e nel mondo; ma per noi son pure gli “Italians lovers” che al di là del passaporto o di legami di sangue hanno scelto di approfondire la cultura italiana, di vivere l’esperienza di “essere Italiano”.
Il Premio racconta storie di Impegno di Coraggio, di Sacrificio anche di giovani uomini e donne per incoraggiarli al cammino.
Il Premio infatti non vale solo “la statuetta” ma la capacità di costruire networking e net-reputation. Il Premio costruisce un “ecosistema” all’insegna della Verità, del Rispetto e della Sostenibilità premesse per edificare un nuovo modello economico basato sulla sostenibilità ambientale, economica e sociale. Una nuova economia competitiva e cooperativa al tempo stesso che ci piacerebbe definire “Economy of Francesco“.
Dal 2013, nella settimana in cui si celebra il Columbus Day, il Premio Eccellenza Italiana racconta il Merito e il Talento dell’Italia nel mondo, per riconoscere gli sforzi di un Paese erede di santi, poeti, navigatori e uomini di cultura.
La Cerimonia di Premiazione si è sempre svolta alla presenza ufficiale e istituzionale dell’Ambasciata Italiana (infatti, fin dalla Prima Edizione, il Premio è stato patrocinato e sostenuto dal Ministero degli Affari Esteri), mentre le Nomination si sono svolte in diverse città del mondo (Miami, Parigi, Montreal, Milano, Napoli) e in giornate dedicate presso sedi istituzionali (Camera dei Deputati, Senato della Repubblica, Aula del Palazzo dei Gruppi parlamentari, Farnesina).
Non ci siamo mai fermati, anche grazie al supporto di media partner nazionali e internazionali, tra cui RAI Italia. Avevamo già digitalizzato il Premio nel 2019 e con la pandemia abbiamo sviluppato il format televisivo italiano con milioni di spettatori su America Oggi TV e Canale Europa. E quando è stato impossibile raggiungere i nostri amici in America, nelle cerimonie di premiazione del 2020 e del 2021 siamo stati ospitati a Roma, nel Palazzo della Santa Sede; San Carlo ai Catinari. Nonostante questo, siamo riusciti a garantire il normale svolgimento della cerimonia di premiazione anche a Washington, grazie alla preziosa collaborazione con Amy Riolo.
La prossima edizione del Premio è dedicata alla storia di un grande italo-americano: Amedeo Giannini, fondatore nel 1904 della Banca d’Italia, attuale Bank of America Corporation. Così, quest’anno, in occasione del decimo anniversario, abbiamo organizzato un doppio evento Italia-Stati Uniti:
– 14/10/23 – Washington DC – Cerimonia di premiazione X edizione Premio Eccellenza Italiana;
– 23/11/23 – Roma – Giornata del Ringraziamento.
L’iniziativa è una formidabile occasione per produrre preziosi incontri di networking attraverso il coinvolgimento dei premiati (anche delle precedenti edizioni) e soprattutto degli ex Presidenti del Premio, all’insegna dell’eccellenza italiana e del made in Italy. Il Presidente Onorario del Premio è Tonino Lamborghini. L’attuale ruolo presidenziale è ricoperto dall’imprenditore veneziano Sandro Zara; il precedente mandato triennale ha visto la presidenza di George Guido Lombardi. Infine, vale la pena ricordare che il primo presidente del Premio è stato Santo Versace, dal 2013 al 2015.

Premio Eccellenza Italiana recounts the Italy of Merit and Talent, the Stories of Resilience, of Sustainability but also of Courage, of Vision that Italians, first and foremost entrepreneurs, and professionals, are able to realize.
Italians are the Italians in our country and in the world. Still, for us they are also the “Italians lovers” who, beyond passport or blood ties, have chosen to delve into Italian culture, to live the experience of “essere Italiano.”
The Award tells stories of Commitment of Courage, of Sacrifice also of young men and women to encourage them on the path.
In fact, the Prize is not only worth “the statuette” but the ability to build networking and net reputation. The Award builds an “ecosystem” under the banner of Truth, Respect, and Sustainability premises to build a new economic model based on environmental, economic, and social sustainability. A new economy that is both competitive and cooperative that we would like to call the “Economy of Francesco.”
Since 2013, in the week in which Columbus Day is celebrated, the Premio Eccellenza Italiana has been telling the story of Italy’s Merit and Talent in the world, to recognize the efforts of a country heir to saints, poets, navigators, and men of culture.
The Award Ceremony has always been held in the official and institutional presence of the Italian Embassy (in fact, since the First Edition, the Prize has been sponsored and supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs), while the Nominations have been held in different cities around the world (Miami, Paris, Montreal, Milan, Naples) and on dedicated days at institutional venues (Chamber of Deputies, Senate of the Republic, Hall of the Palace of Parliamentary Groups, Farnesina).
We have never stopped thanks to the support of national and international media partners, including RAI Italia. We had already digitized the Prize in 2019, and with the pandemic, we developed the Italian TV format with millions of viewers on America Oggi TV and Channel Europe. And when it was impossible to reach our friends in America, in the award ceremonies of 2020 and 2021 we were hosted in Rome, in the Palace of the Holy See; San Carlo ai Catinari. In spite of this, we managed to ensure the normal conduct of the award ceremony in Washington as well, thanks to the valuable collaboration with Amy Riolo.
The next edition of the Prize is dedicated to the story of a great Italian-American: Amedeo Giannini, founder in 1904 of the Bank of Italy, today’s Bank of America Corporation. So, this year, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary, we organized an Italy-United States double event:
– 10/14/23 – Washington DC – Award Ceremony X edition Italian Excellence Award;
– 11/23/23 – Rome – Thanksgiving Day.
The initiative is a formidable opportunity to produce valuable networking encounters through the involvement of awardees (including from previous editions) and especially former Presidents of the Prize, under the banner of Italian excellence and made in Italy. The Honorary President of the Prize is Tonino Lamborghini. The current presidential role is held by Venetian entrepreneur Sandro Zara; the previous three-year term saw the presidency of George Guido Lombardi. Finally, it is worth mentioning that the first president of the Prize was Santo Versace, from 2013 to 2015.
